How did UGC NET Became CBSE NET| Difference
Every Year a huge no. of post graduates appear in National eligibility test (NET) to pursue their career in Lectureship or Research in Indian academic institutes.
Those who are newbies or appearing first time in NET exam are very eager to know: What is the difference between CBSE NET & UGC NET.
There are many educational forums which are flooded with questions like, What is the difference between CBSE UGC NET & UGC NET?
What is the difference between CSIR NET & UGC NET?
and the list of such questions is longer than you can imagine.
Today in this blog I want to consider the difference.
The answer is there is absolutely no difference between CBSE NET & UGC NET except the conducting authority.
UGC i.e. University Grant commission is the statutory organization that was used to conduct the national eligibility test for 93 art & literature subjects, till 2014.
From 2015 June & onward CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts this exam, on behalf of UGC for the post of Lecturer and for providing the JRF for Indian nationals.
The prime reason behind this change was UGC's inability to incorporate this exam with work overload. CBSE was asked by HRD India to conduct the exam, which CBSE accepted.
CBSE is already conducting many national level entrance exams like AIIMS, AIEEE & many more along with School certificate exams.
