Tips and Tricks for UGC NET Exam Dec 2015

UGC NET is a national level exam that every research and lectureship aspirant wishes to crack. This is conducted twice a year in June and December month by UGC and its coordinating institutes. Lacs of students appears in this examination to get a life time achievement i.e. Eligibility for lecturer-ship in reputed universities and Junior Research Fellowship. Students may get nervous as the exam is approaching. However, there is nothing much to worry about the exam if all the necessary guidelines are followed on time.

            

UGC NET exam consists of two papers:

1.      Paper 1- which is general aptitude paper common for all students.

2.      Paper 2- which is paper of the subject you have chosen.

There are 7 tips and tricks for UGC NET aspirants:

1. Note down your Syllabus

It’s very important to know what topics you will have to cover for UGC NET. NET is conducted in three papers, each of different patterns.

• Note down the syllabus of three of them on a sheet.
• Start with the topic you can cover faster and which has good chances to be asked in exam. For this analysis UGC NET question papers for previous year.
• Mark the topics you have covered and proceed to next one.

2. Refer Good Books

Purchase some good books by re known authors that may help you to clear your basic concepts and logics as well as cover whole syllabus.  Also utilize on line study material. 

3. Prepare Notes

Make notes for each subject separately. Notes should be very clear and well written so when you have to revise you can just open your notebook and read it.

4. Time Management

Developing Time Management Skills is quite beneficial if you are going to fight UGC NET Exam.

How to manage time before exams?

It’s not necessary to study all the time, concentration is what needed the most when you study.

• Schedule your daily routine at the first priority and allocate separate time to every section of syllabus to reduce confusion of what to read and what not.
• Give at-least 4 to 5 hours daily to your studies.
• Also manage time for Daily Revision of what you have read whole day long.

Time Management during Exams

Time management is the very first thing to do while sitting in examination hall.

• As time is limited to solve questions in UGC NET, try to attempt the section you can do very fast.
• If you are facing problem in solving any question. Leave it and move to next.

Keep yourself updated with the current affairs and recent news about UGC NET Exam. 

6. Revision and Self Analysis

Read your notes for quick revision before exams.Take mock tests and solved paper for self analysis.

7. Take help of Solved Papers and Online Mock Test Papers

Study previous years question papers online and solve them to get idea of level of the paper. You may also join online test series or can self-analyze yourself by taking mock test papers.
